Garnet Stone
Q: I have a red collar with stones, but not the principle of what they are. After checking online and compare them visually, I think they might be garnet. In any event persuaded to mine?

A: I came with the previous Answerers: color is a poor way of determining what is a garnet. They can be red, brown, black, drained, yellow, green or colorless, and can be many shades between.
