A: Years (literally decades), the gravel pits have been a good place to find agates, but no luck today. More to do with personal property and accidents, lawsuits, etc.
My family vacation was spent in search of rocks around the nature, but my great-aunt lived just outside of Grand Marais...
I have a garnering of beutiful lake superior agates that I have picked from the beach throughout the years. I know they are worth well-to-do just don't, know how to get rid of them.
